This page provides links to some recent cases involving challenges to VEI data or methodology to exclude expert testimony.  The cases are of two types:

• Involving VEI experts - Most deal with The New Worklife Expectancy Tables and the data underlying them.
• Involving external experts - These experts use either The New Worklife Expectancy Tables published by Vocational Econometrics or methods similar to those used by VEI experts.  Some of these challenges have (appropriately) succeeded.  They are discussed here to emphasize the importance of the appropriate use of disability statistics.
