Curriculum Vitae
Gerald Casenave, Ph.D. completed his doctorate in
Clinical Psychology at the University of Texas
Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical
Sciences in Dallas in 1990, and he had
received a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Vanderbilt
University in 1977. In addition, he has
completed specialized postgraduate study in
economics through the University of Nevada and
Vocational Economics, Inc. His
postgraduate study focuses on the economic
consequences of disability.
Dr. Casenave has over
nineteen years of practical experience and ten
years of teaching experience in the area of
vocational rehabilitation. He currently
serves as the regional consultant for the
Texas Rehabilitation Commission for the Dallas
Metroplex, serves as a psychologist for the
Brian Injury Day Treatment Program at
HealthSouth in Dallas, and teaches medical
ethics at UTSWMC in Dallas. He is board
certified by the College of Forensic
Examiners. His expertise encompasses
assessment of the effects of disability on
employability, career counseling, and the
occupational placement of persons with
disability.
